Guangxu period, Qing dynasty
Box covered in fruiting peach trees filled with sprays of fresh leaves, growing lingzhi, and flying bats, separated at the rims by a scrolling key pattern. With six-character Guangxu mark to underside.
H: 8, Dia: 12 7/8 in. (H: 20.32, Dia: 32.70 cm.)
Provenance: From Mr. Chang, a Chinese-American antiques dealer with 60 years of experience in the field. Mr. Chang began his journey into the world of antiques under the guidance of his mentors in the early 1960s.
