Native American, Northeastern United States / Canada, Iroquois peoples, ca. 1900s to 1920s CE. A pair of beaded cloth and leather toe vamps, the upper panel for a pair of moccasins. Leather soles would have extended up along the sides of a completed pair. The beadwork uses semi-translucent glass seed beads to form the flower motif, and the vamp edge is outlined in white. Size: 6" L x 4.5" W (15.2 cm x 11.4 cm)

Condition
Tears and some fraying to red cotton in a few areas on both. Beading is intact and very good. Leather is still supple, minor staining and discoloration.
