Jeu des Mysteres de Paris. Metz: Imagerie Delhalt, after 1879. 14 x 19 ½ inches; lithograph, pochoir coloring in red, blue, and gold. Light toning, trimmed close with some chips along edges and a loss at the lower left corner, central fold with some creasing, a small loss, and a tear.
Eugène Sue's immensely popular mystery crime thriller, Les Mysteres de Paris, inspired this attractive game of the goose board, which illustrates sixty-seven characters and scenes from the novel in the board's squares and corners.
