Description
Two boxed games, including, Complete Game of Authors. New York: Mcloughlin Bros., 1890s. 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches; Printed cards and folded 4 pp. rules pamphlet, housed in stiff card box with color printed paper label to lid. Soiling and wear to the box's exterior but still holding together quite nicely at the seams, some toning and spotting to cards and rules, the set has not been collated; together with, ELSA VON KRON. The Game of Inventors. London: J. W. Spear & Sons, circa 1910. 10 printed cards each with the names, dates, and portraits of five inventors, and with smaller numbered cards each with the name of an invention, housed in a stiff card box with a color printed paper label on the lid and fitted interior. The box is soiled and worn, it is missing one edge of the lid, the cards have some toning, warping, and wear, and there is an added slip of paper, possibly written in Mr. Sondheim's hand, stating that the set lacks one piece, and another hand-written slip with that pieces number, the lot sold as is.
