Description
Cyril Hirtle (1918-2003) produced unique and captivating works breaking most (if not all) artistic rules. In this work two fishermen struggle to achieve their objectives. The man at the back is seen with a huge fish alongside his boat while his companion up front wildly steers the rudder. One seems to be gazing at a church on the distant shore, perhaps whispering a prayer that the two of them successfully land the brute.
