Description

Large redware pottery olla depicting a cooking pot with vegiform staves around the exterior edge and four concentric rows of beans on the upper shoulder. Wide slightly flared rim mouth. Excellent surface patina and overall scattered mineral deposits. Two restored hair lines in the shoulder and a small restored rim chip, otherwise intact, overall exc. cond. 7-1/2"H. x 12"D.

Provenance: Private NYC. collection, acquired on 07/16/25 from Arte Primitivo. Ex. private California collection acquired 1960's from Harold Wagner, S.F., CA.
