Relic Harper's Ferry Model 1842 Musket

.69 caliber. 37" barrel. NSN. Heavily oxidized metal, iron furniture, walnut stock. Single shot percussion muzzleloading musket shortened to shotgun with shortened stock, missing the middle band and sling swivels and with an added incorrect ramrod. Harpers Ferry marked lock dated 1846. No other visible markings, including proofs. {ANTIQUE}

This lot is located in Cincinnati.

Condition
Poor. Poor bore. Metal heavily oxidized and rusted with pitting and a large number of mars, dings and marks around the breech. Markings weak on lock, none elsewhere. Mechanically functional lock. Stock very poor, broken through the wrist, with added finish, wood filler, numerous bumps, dings and mars and in really poor condition.
