**St. Etienne Berthier MLE M-16 Rifle

8x50mmR. 31.75" barrel length. SN: 29424. Blued metal refinish with polished bolt mounting wood straight wrist stock, full length handguard, and half length upper handguard. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with en bloc clips. Mounts adjustable ladder rear notch and wide front blade sights, sling ring to middle barrel band and toe, and an extended magazine. Left receiver engraved St Etienne MLE M 16, with the right stock showing a sanded arsenal stamp and nonmatching serial number. {C&R}

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Frosty with strong rifling throughout. Metal finish shows pitting to the receiver and along the edges of the stock filled in with reblue. Further pitting on the magazine floorplate. Bolt shows a mottled gray to brown patina on handling surfaces with gray patina to internals. Wood has been aggressively sanded with metal fitting proud of the wood and weak markings. Some beading to the finish and dents.
