Description

(1892-1934) Chancellor of Austria, later to become dictator. He became an ally of Hitler and Mussolini, and was assassinated on July 34, 1934. Rare S.P., 3.5 x 5.5 in. b/w, a candid image of the diminutive dictator flanked on either side by helmeted soldiers he smilingly greets. Signed in blue ink at bottom, with a forwarding address on verso in a period hand. Fine.
