T.L.S. on personal letterhead, 1p. 4to., Osterville, MA, July 7, 1988, to a William Santora. Gavin praises the 29th Infantry Division, noting: '...The gallantry of those men who fell at Omaha Beach will never be forgotten, and it is very fitting that the 29th Division is erecting a monument in their honor...' He signs at the conclusion in blue ink. Shows original mailing folds, otherwise in fine condition.
