(1882 - 1945) Thirty-second President of the United States who instituted the ‘New Deal’ programs and who led the United States through most of World War II. Section of a 1932 Roosevelt campaign poster showing the candidate, 11 x 18.5 in. overall, mounted to 14 x 22 in. backing, the image inscribed at bottom: 'For my friend James Beech from Franklin D. Roosevelt'. The poster (but not backing) bears tears, creases, and some marginal loss, the inscription and signature a bit worn, still good condition.
