Helmick, former United States District Judge for China, and recommending him for appointment as Minister to New Zealand. I am glad to know of the high opinion you hold of Judge Helmick…As you may have noticed, there was received in the Senate on June 24 the nomination of Mr. William C. Burdett, a Foreign Service Officer of Class I, for appointment as Minister to New Zealand.
