SICIS Micro Mosaic Door Handle
20th century, Italian
The door handle is made by SICIS. Made in Ravenna, Italy by master mosaic artisans. SICIS is a high-end luxury Italian "Maison" famous for its artistic micro mosaic and "Vetrite" (glass and polymer) work. SICIS door handles are considered "small works of art", entry-level models start around $1,350, while more ornate or limited-edition designs can exceed 33,500. They feature "minute mosaic" tiles made of 24K gold, platinum, and other precious metals set into the metal handle body.
