Berk (active mid-20th century) was a European, often cited as German, painter known for Impressionistic, textured seascapes and moody ocean scenes. Signed lower left. Housed in a gilt frame. Frame measures approximately 26 3/8" H x 38 1/2" W x 1" D. Some wear around canvas edges with minor areas of discoloration and natural age-related toning to the reverse of the linen.
