Description
An ornate and substantial furniture piece featuring a heavily carved pedestal base embellished with lush acanthus leaf motifs and terminating in classic paw feet. The table is finished in a rich dark patina that accentuates the deep relief of the carvings, lending it a regal and aged aesthetic. Originally designed as a tilt-top, the mechanism is currently damaged, rendering it a functional stationary center table perfect for an entryway or library. It measures approximately 28 1/2" H x 33 1/2" in diameter. Condition includes general surface wear consistent with its 19th-century origins, along with the noted loss of its original tilting functionality with damage and now is functional as a center table.
