At Gettysburg, his troops broke the Union lines at Cemetery Ridge, scattering the defenders and capturing twenty cannon before being forced to withdraw. Rare, war-date partly-printed D.S. ‘A R Wright’, 1p. folio, Augusta, GA, July, 1864, a roster of NCO’s and enlisted men requisitioned by a surgeon for hospital duty. Wright signs in black ink at lower left approving the requisition, adding his rank. Shows expected folds, otherwise in fine condition.
