ornate gilt sterling silver ciborium by Punte Galleries, Baltimore, MD, early 20th century, adorned with 39 Old European cut diamonds and 18 amethysts, hand chased and engraved, applied filigree decoration, grape and foliate design, Greek key border, 12 1/4 in. H., 48.45 ozt.; Laurence Punte was the owner of the former Punte Galleries located at 2606 St. Benedict St., Baltimore, MD, 21223, behind St. Benedict's Church (which is located on Wilkens Ave). The ciborium was made in the early 1900's and was displayed at J. F. Grottendick & Sons, a religious goods store in Catonsville.
