George Washington: Large Liverpool Presentation Pitcher with Map of the Original Thirteen States.
Impressive 11.5" tall pitcher. One side has a transfer of Washington, Franklin, Lady Liberty, the Goddesses of Fame, War and Justice, an early version of the U.S. flag with fifteen stars and a map of the nascent United States. The other side has an equally nice transfer depicting the defeat of Britain and its mercenaries "By Virtue and Valour". An eagle with fifteen stars and a wreath with letters of the owner, "HEH", are under the spout. The neck, spout and interior spout are hand-colored in brown & green with floral designs. Some very light discoloration around the base with two small chips; otherwise, in great shape with no chips, cracks or restoration that we can discern. From the Collection of David and Janice Frent
