A BELLE ÉPOQUE LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU AND PORCELAIN PLAQUE MOUNTED ROSEWOOD BONHEUR DE JOUR, LATE 19TH CENTURY, FRENCH, the pierced ormolu mounted three quarter galleried top, over a cavetto frieze, above two quadruple crotched cupboard doors, centering Sèvres style hand painted fairy theme porcelain plaques, within quadruple crotched and ormolu trim mounted side panels, and canted stiles mounted with caryatid busts above foliate volutes, over a slant front crotched door, opening to an interior fitted with open shelves, above three drawers, over an inset red baize writing surface within a repeating Greek key border, above a mounted bouquet, tasseled swag and bead mounted surmount, all raised on flowering rocaille, caryatid bust mounted knee cabriole legs, issuing ormolu chutes to scrolled feet, joined by a scalloped skirt, centering a single drawer mounted with a shield of Athena and quiver with arrows escutcheon.
