Signed by Brother Antoninus with the inscription "for Sue her nineteenth year and the April of love 1966". Everson had taken the name Brother Antoninus when he joined the Dominican Order in 1951. He left the Dominicans in 1969 to embrace a growing sexual awakening, and married a woman many years his junior, Susanna Rickson. The word "language" is spelled correctly on page ix, lines 16-17. Bartlett & Campo A23.

Light rubbing and edgewear to jacket, a bit of soiling to rear panel; hints of foxing to endpapers, a bit of light toning around margins; near fine in like jacket.
