Lot 0001 Details

Description
This Salmagundi work of art is titled, "Covered Bridge" (Salmagundi Club Collection). Signed, lower left. Oil on Canvas. Image Size: 20" x 24" Unframed. Though born in Italy, Antonio Cirino graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1909, eventually teaching there for jewelry design for 35 years. In the 1920s, he became one of the founding members of the Rockport Art Association, where he would produce his most important paintings. Eventually, he was accepted into Salmagundi Club in NYC in 1926 and the Providence Art Club and since then, has received over 79 prizes for his paintings.
Condition
Original unrestored condition with no damage or repair. Surface dirt consistent with age. Work has been in long term storage.
