First but definitely not the last time I check out auctions by Roland.

I actually picked up one item, and had one fragile item sent to me. Both transactions went smoothly, and I'm extremely happy with the non-fragile item, since I'd been looking for it for a while. The staff was efficient and friendly.

My experience with Roland NY was great. My item was exactly as described and authentic. Shipping with UPS was spot on. You can bid with confidence from this auction house.

The stemware was in better condition that described. They listed the lots as 25 pieces each, but delivered 27 pieces. You can't do better than that!

The description indicated a lack of understanding of this imprint, stating that "front title plate detached." Actually the half-title page is detached while the frontspiece is actually missing — a major condition fault that neither the description nor the photos revealed. The shipper (UPS) overpacked and overcharged for the item even though I indicated to them that the item, a small book, did not require any special care. They also had the wrong contact information for me, and I had to go through the payment process twice. This, of course, wasted my time and delayed delivery. I believe Roland is a decent auction company with interesting offerings, but this time the experience fell short of expectations.

I had a wonderful experience with Roland Auction.. I received two lots from their October 19th Auction and could not have been happier with all of the porcelain pieces I received with only very slight issues to the porcelain.. Out of the 40 pieces, possibly 2 has small nicks.. I contacted the UPS store they recommended, received an email quickly from them and when I kept Roland updated on who was selected to do a pick-up, they responded quickly with a email when the items will be picked up.. The shipping price was slightly on the higher side leaving NYC to PA, but when I did receive the 40 pieces of porcelain, every piece was well packaged.. I look forward to more bidding with this outstanding auction service and hopefully find additional wonderful pieces to add to my collection..
