Well it was an honest mistake, but the auction house gave my shipper the wrong item, and he shipped the wrong item poorly enough that it broke in transit. It's all sorted out now, but the auction house didn't really communicate with me that well during the whole process. Luckily the shipper was an angel and handled it all for me. A very rough process this time, but I'm sure very unusual.

Picked up my two lots today while in Atlanta. Young girl at front desk was pleasant over the phone and professional when we arrived. Gentleman in back was kind and packed our car. Would highly recommend A and O auction house.

Item was advertised as a self player piano but it is missing parts and does not work.. Hopefully this problem can be resolved soon.

I was disappointed that payment was refused and pick up was not possible the day of the auction because I used the web for bidding. I was told to come back Monday afternoon the next week? I wasted a trip to pick up my item and had to make arrangements to leave my office early since the auction house closes at 5pm daily. I probably won't bid online next time.

Many firms use out-of-house shipping services and the connection between the two is a direct reflection on the auctioneer. I contacted three "recommended" shippers. One (pakmail) was out of business. The second (UPS store) took one full week to get back to me with a quote and it was ridiculously inflated ($300.). The third (pakmail # 2) was very courteous and had a quote the same day which I eventually accepted ($200.) I was so stunned by the UPS Store quote that I did some research. Lastchance by liveauctioneers recently had a carpet sale offering free shipping. I looked on ebay at similar sized carpets (3'x5 ) and found shipping charges ranging from free to $40. Now I don't feel so good about the $200. quote. The cost of the item plus buyers premium plus shipping turned a $175. purchase into a $430. expenditure. I could have gotten that at a specialty carpet store in my backyard. I'm LESS likely to participate in this type of auction again which is bad for liveauctioneers and the industry as a whole.

Very satisfied with the auction house and the process. I accidentally bid on an item with the i-phone ap and they worked out a solution for me. Great auction house and great folks to work with.

Overseas shipping is often extra costly-though this time, I managed to find one company which was twice or more cheaper than two others, for 175 $(not cheap, but ok).

1. Other auction houses we deal with let us have some discount for paying with check when we bid via internet so surprised not here. 2. Great staff to deal with but when I paid, a little loose on how the item would be picked up from the house. I wasn't asked but did provide that PakMail was doing the shipping. I wanted to make sure the item was released to the right shipper. Overall, a nice auction house to work with and will again.

There were a number of scratches on the piece of furniture that were not depicted in the photographs. Additionally, when I went to pick up the piece they had a bit of trouble locating it.

The abuses of the pakmail, ship-n-pack, and UPS stores are very harmful to the good will generated by right actions of auction houses. That was the case in this transaction, and I recommended to the Auction House that it no longer so highly recommend this particular shipper that was used, and they agreed, saying that they had prior complaints about him and his attitude.

Your shipping process was very very dissatisfied. We received the Loetz was so poorly handled and Bronze base was spelter not bronze and leg was damaged. In the packing box, there were no peanuts and only two layer of bubble were protected loetz.
