They sold this at auction to me for 20.00Plus premium and tax. The was a shipping cost of 119.00
Don’t bud on fragile items if they need to be shipped. Total rip of from country post man. Pay 119 on items worth 30.? Hardly a to bad from the auction place. I am done biding out of state, were I can’t pick up. I could see a higher shipping on a value able piece. But medium pottery? No way. I hope they donate the item, and not resell it.

Shipping prices sometimes depend on value (because of cost to insure the shippment), but do not depend on purchasing price. So whether you paid $20 or $500 or $50, 000 is irrelevant. Shipping prices are shipping prices no matter what you paid for the item. We dont control shipping prices... We dont require anyone to use any particular shipper... There is alot of fraud and games that gets played with shipping so we defer the shipping concerns completely to the professional shippers. Our recommendations are based on customer feedback... We dont receive any kickbacks or referral fees... You said $119, but that is not confirmed, and again you dont provide any information about how of that is insurance, how much of that is careful packaging, how much of that is actual courier/post charge, etc... On our website, we list other shippers you can choose from as well, and you can use any shipper you want on the list or not, because like I said we dont require any shipper. We also post in our terms and wherever possible that bidders should get shipping estimates BEFORE bidding...

Live Auctioneer Problems
George Cole Auctions is flawless, helpful, honest, and easy to work with. The functioning of Live Auctioneer has created a bidding issue with the last two auctions I've participated in. George Cole Auction people have been understanding and cooperative to correct issues for which Live Auctioneers were solely responsible for.

Fantastic customer service aside from the FFL shipping
The auction house did an amazing job and contacted me in a timely manner for payment and responded quickly with questions I had. When it came to contacting the FFL they took north of 2 weeks to ship it, and I contacted them 4 times and they told me each time it either wasn’t there or is wasn’t ready to ship yet. I personally work at an FFL and I know it can take less than a day to get a firearm out the door and be in your hands in less that 4 business days but 2 weeks is a little excessive.

Something for everyone in the family.
I have been going to George Cole auctions for many years, and have brought friends and family along as well. We have furnished my child’s first apartment, gotten many good items for our home and gifts for family members. Although we are not able to attend the live auctions — which we miss quite a bit — the online items are easy to view, bid on and pick up. Can’t wait to attend in person again and listen to George and Elmer conduct a profession and fun evening.
