A quality auction house!
This is one of the most beautiful Virgin Mary statues I have ever seen; It's also one of the best Quimper depictions of her! I was thrilled to win it and was full of praise when I saw the perfect packing job. It arrived just when you said it would. Thank you for your excellent description, communication, and seamless transaction. A winner!

Honest and helpful auction company!
I always watch for Richard Opfer Auctions-they seem to always have wonderful, honest fresh-to-the-market estate items. They are helpful with payments and shipping, making the process easy and shipping prices reasonable. I'm an auctioneer, myself-trust me-I know a good/fair company.

Good experience
Lots were well described and photographed. Estimates were reasonable. Easy payment. Shipping via Liveauctioneers was expensive but exceptionally well packed. Will look forward to bidding with this house again.

Wonderful Auction House
Love this auction house! I’ve purchased from both in-person auctions as well as online and both transactions were seamless and the items I received were exactly as described (honestly better than described). The staff is helpful and friendly and I could not be happier. Will definitely do more business in the future.

Very good experience with this professional auction house
Won an item as online bidder, process went smoothly on all levels. The main way ROA could improve is to offer their own shipping, but the UPS Store they recommended was very good and fair. One minor niggle about the item (wood panel) was that it wasn't described as being two pieces (as it was designed to be), appeared as one in the photo.

Best to get multiple shipping quotes
Richard Opfer staff was great and helped to speed payment process. The shipping options offered had mixed results: Three out of four listed shippers responded to requests for shipping quotes. The best price came from UPS Store # 567. Thanks Richard!

Very irresponsible auction house
The auction house hidden flaws. Very poor condition and no description of it. don't see any damage in this picture. I tried contacting the auction house and got no ANY response.

Very helpful and flexible with shipping
Easy to work with on shipping. Was able to call and speak with a real person and deal in real, normal terms. They were flexible on timing and location. Shipping was done in house and very reasonably priced. Photos didn't show some dings in the thin silver of the dishes, but the tarnish hid that as well and I don't think there was anything "wrong" with the photos at all-just a normal risk of buying in online auction. Very happy with the whole process.

First Time Dealing With This Auction House
I found the staff to be helpful when I had a question post-auction. I wish they had in-house shipping available as an option. Shipping cost me more than the item. They have three outside shippers. Each provided a bid. I accepted one of the offers to ship. The items from a single lot were well packed. Over $85.00 to ship 4 Lalique crystal paperweights and a lucite display stand via UPS. This was from the shipper with the lowest bid. There was an approximate difference of about $35.00 from the lowest to the highest offer price to ship. Idea for the Live Auctioneers community; perhaps if an auction house offers in-house shipping and maintains a customer satisfaction score at 80 % or better, the auction firm would get an incentivized commission rate for the next quarter. Let's start writing to Live Auctioneers! Back to the auction. The Firm was very professional and the Lalique paperweights were accurately described. Thank you.

Took over a month to receive my items., and only after intervention from the warehouse manager
Nice items, as described, but it took over a month to receive my items, after multiple emails, and phone calls. Shipping instructions were not followed. There is some sort of problem with communications between the office, the warehouse, and their recommended retail shipper. Postman Plus has major issues. They failed to p [ ick up my items in a timely manner, lost the invoice, did not return my calls and got my name wrong on the shipping label. They said they would "make it up to" me, but then still charged me the full amount. I do not recommend them.

Items exactly as described. Your preferred shipper quoted almost $200 to ship items which is insane.
Items exactly as described. Stephanie and Laura went out of there way to ship my items after your preferred shipper quoted almost $200 to ship items I ship all the time for about $40. That shipper is making your business look really bad.
