Richard Oper auctions should ship in-house the UPS Store 3326 charged a lot to double ship all my items and it was single boxed and one item broke so I went through the insurance and it was approved and Peter from the UPS Store wouldn’t pay the insurance money had to go through my credit card company, Sad experience after a great experience with the auction. DO NOT SHIP WITH THE UPS STORE!!!

I had to wait a very long time for my items even to be shipped. I tried contacting both auction house and shipper several times before any response. Shipper wax in such a hurry they shipping items (valueable art with frames) without adequate protection (1 layer of small bubble wrap is not enough)-glass was broken in small shards which in turn destroyed the art. I am out hundreds for the print as well as $160 for shipping. VERY dis-satisified. Never use Postman Plus with this auction house. I package and can ship more professionally than this "professional". UPDATE: The shipping company has completed a satisfactory arrangement with regard to what happened. I wanted to update my feedback to reflect that even though there was an issue, they stepped up and resolved it.

While I was very satisfied with the quality of the product Richard Opfer Auctioneering, Inc. had to offer, I was missing a portion of an item that was listed and photographed in the auction. (vintage camera with box and manual). Upon realizing only part of my item had arrived (missing manual) I contacted them both via email and phone to let them know of the problem. They were very kind but I never received a resolution to the missing manual or any sort of compensation. I would bid with them again, but would double-check the lot manifest in the future.

I would warn those who bid on items that must be shipped that shipping costs with the third party shippers available are OUTRAGEOUS. I tried all 3 and prices were very similar but just ridiculous. We all know that third party shipping is not very competitive but here it is beyond the pale. Richard is a very reputable auctioneer but for me to bid again they will need to move toward in-house shipping or find a shipper who lives in the real world.

The print had a fade blemish spot in the upper left that was never reported in the condition report

Took a long time to get my order

This was my first time dealing with this auction house. Everything went smoothly; I called to give my credit card information-everything went off without any issues. Spoke with two different individuals and both were pleasant and easy to work with. I used Craters and Freighters of Baltimore to ship my item; they picked up my item quickly and shipped it safely. Would definitely recommend this auction house and won’t hesitate to do business with them in the future.

Shppng little high told them put in envelope saved 15 dollars

The dolls were better in person than showed in pictures-pleasantly surprised. I received them quickly and without any extra stress or effort. I'm new to liveauctioneers and have had bad experiences already. I appreciate the auction houses that do a great job. I almost quit using liveauctioneers because of some of the auction houses but this one is great.

Richard Opfer Auctioneering, Inc has been extremely helpful to me while I found the safest & most economical shipping method. They've provided me with nothing but EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE in all areas. Invoicing was quick & payment was very easy. They also have the sweetest lady answering their telephone. She has a soft, kind-hearted voice, was sincerely compassionate regarding a personal situation of mine & always offered me timely help. This auction house also works closely with the shipper I chose (Postman Plus-"Sharon") & I came away very confident in their actions & their business. The auction items were just as described. Staff was very helpful in providing shipping, combining two items bought a week apart. I would recommend arranging your own shipping if speed is important, as shipping is not their primary business, but for me it was a welcome convenience.

Item was as described at any moment their customer service provide the help an assistant needed, they were very understanding and helpful, payment was very easy with my credit card they did not question, unlike other auction houses, that i was an international buyer. Shipping was a pleasure, they recomended a few local trusted people, which i contacted before the sale, and were very helpful with an approximate estimate for the cost to the UK with a few options, i requested USPS express and they did not have problems with it either, once the item was paid the collecting was fast, packing was safe and profesional and shipping very fast arrived safe and within time not delays. Overal experience an A + + +. highly recomended thanks for all the help i hope to participate once again in the near future.
