NICE GUY

Luckily I am within 50 miles or so, went to look at items in person. Thanks goodness, there was a lot of damage, wear, stains etc. that were not mentioned at all, were not photographed etc. They didn't say mint condition either, they just ignored condition generally in both pics and description; I am sure some of the online buyers are going to be surprised with undisclosed flaws. Vintage furniture is going to have signs of age and condition matters, to everyone. Kind regards, JW

When I applied to bid, I was turned down. No reason. Called Strawser, clerk said they had been burned. I said my credit was perfect and to have Strawser to call me. He said the same thing. I said he was cutting off his nose to spite his face. He relented and I paid within 60 minutes my successful bids of over a thousand dollars. Very unpleasant experience for no valid reason.

Overall, a good experience. However having to arrange your own shipping was not all that great. Seems like most auction house automatically handle all that. My item did arrive eventually. That's about all I have to comment on.

It would be extremely helpful if all auction housed were required to post condition reports in the online catalogue, rather then the buyer having to request even the most basic report.

Prices for shipping were very unreasonable compared to other auction houses I have used on Live Auctioneers!

Would like to see more pictures of the items. It’s important

as a first timer, questions were answered like microsoft does; "just play, you'll figure it out". well, i did figure it out and when i bought i found no explanation of payment process. you could be more professional in how you guide your customers through the auction. no one was snide or rude but the assumption that i should know more than i do was unsettling.

More detail about the items would have been appreciated. For example: the Fiestaware juice pitcher that I won had a glaze skip on it, and this was not pictured nor noted.

Would like more photos, especially of items with condition issues.

I wish they were include either more pics with different angles or more info. Ive gotten one item that was chipped and repaired and one item with glaze issues that did not show up in the pic. Pleased with them in every other aspect but they need to include more pics!

Would have liked to been able to get a quote on shipping cost. Although my items arrived safe and were very well packed, the cost seemed excessive.
