It is set up very nice and the tracking helps to kwow where your items are at all times until you receive them well done

There has been no problem with the auction houses I have experienced. The problem is with LIVE AUCTIONEERS. More often than not it does not let me bid live causing me loss of items I would have increased my bid if I could. Last Saturday, June 11, I was able to bid live on one auction but not on another. I had a previous bid of $600 on a taxidermy trophy mount that I was not going to increase. The bidding went to $600 & then $650 by a "competing bid" then changed to sold to me for $650. Figure that one out. I am done with LIVE AUCTIONEERS.

I really have no opinion one way or another. However, I prefer auction houses that do their own packing and shipping. I am also looking at auction houses that do not charge over 29 % buyer fees. Items are expensive enough, especially with the shipping.

Only one image shown of the watch. No case back or movement. Very limited description so I called and the auctioneer was very helpful and the watch came just as he described it. Overall very happy.

Well, one lot I purchased was described as being a three stone diamond ring. Upon receiving it I could tell they were not diamonds at all. I tested the stones to confirm they were not diamonds and immediately contacted the auction house. They did apologize and said they would accept the return I told them I wanted to make.... which I appreciated. However, it was very clear these were not diamonds and were not tested by anyone at the auction house. They described the cut and size of the stones but didn't bother to confirm these stones were even diamond-seemed very odd to me, and not very professional.

The 14k chain broke apart the instant I put it on. I have yet to bring it to the jewelers.

The office person was requiring me to sign a PDF form to release my merchandise. I can't do that on my computer... don't know how. So I retyped the entire form and filled in the blanks. Not good enough. I finally called them and talked to the owner and he said he would take care of it. I am hoping to finally get my wins shipped to me this week. I've never been taught how to fill in forms like that. Other auction houses just take oral OK's or send them a short note giving permission to release the items. This was very stressful when you have an office person who wants it their way or no way. I'm glad the owner understood my computer limits.

The owner of the auction house couldn't tell me about shipping costs, but provided me a phone number that I called that went unanswered. I ultimately limited my financial exposure by only acquiring a few items, held my breath and waited for the shipper to get in touch with me. My interaction with the shipper proved to be laborious, time consuming, they provided me the incorrect email address to pay them via paypal, and after 2 weeks of not being provided a tracking number, I phoned them and never heard back. 3 days later I received a tracking number, and 2 days later received a well packed shipment. Seem the relationship between auction house, to a shipping company, through Live Auctioneers leaves no one really in charge of a customers paid merchandise. In the future, IF I were to think about using Live Auctioneers, I'll do a far more significant vetting of the auction house and their chosen shipper, but then perhaps that's more time than I 'm willing to waste given the premiums I must pay to Live Auctioneers to do just that for the outsize fees charged.

I did not receive the item I bid on. Another item was shipped to me with the number of the item I bid on. The explanation was confusing and not convincing. My costs were refunded, but I'm not at all pleased.

The item I bid on was not the item shipped to me. Money refunded but something fishy happened. Very disappointed.

The price for shipping is too high

This is my second auction experience with Stawser during a huge Fiesta auction, and the service is absolutely first rate!

Received wrong item

Very fast communication.

210 to ship my small items was and continues to be high. I told all my friends I could go to USPS and get 4 free boxes and ship all 4 for less than 20 bucks each including packing materials. So let's say 80 for those 4 boxes. Do I feel every enterprise should make a buck? Yes. Would 40 or 50 be more than fair??? Yes. So 130.? Do I have a choice? Nope but does it give you a bad name? Yes. 2 of my 11 items have major chips and we're not mentioned. That's bad business.

VG shipping was very slow to respond to questions and pricing. Just received my item # 777 yesterday December 8th.

Strawsers is a good reputable place to do business.

I feel that the items I purchased where shipped in a box larger than necessary resulting in higher shipping fees. Shipping amount was 3 to 4 times what I could have shipped the items myself for. Double the cost I can understand for the service, however this inflation amount seems excessive. I'm not sure I will be bidding on-line again.

Very disappointed with the shipping price and lack of communication from the shipping company. Shipping quotes should be available prior to bidding but they are not.
