Multiple incorrect invoices were a pain. I had to wait for a correct invoice, the spend money/pay fees on the exchange to convert my USD to Euros and pay for a wire transfer, only to discover my invoce was still wrong and I had overpaid. The auction house promptly refunded me the overpayment through PayPal, and now I have to pay exchange fees again to convert it back to USD. Frustrating. However, this was my first international purchase and they did make it painless. They corrected issues, replied somewhat promptly and spoke English, which was nice. While invoices and VAT were annoying, I am much less apprehensive to buy internationally now. Overall positive.

Amazing to have an auction Co. from Germany and they DONT rip you off of shipping charges like most auction Co. from the USA!!!

I was very happy to bid for this auction and I very surprise too because the bids are quickly done.

I participated in two Ladenberger auctions: the Steiff auction on the 19th and the Christmas ornament auction on the 20. I am a keen collector of Steiff animals and the Ladenberger auction house was recommended to me by other collectors. Prior to this, I have bid through Sotheby's, Christies and Special Auction Service. This was, however, the first time I bid with Ladenberger and I am sorry to say that it was not a pleasant experience. First, the website provides very little information about how to bid. I originally signed up to bid through their site-only to find out the day before the auction that registered bids were for written reserves only. So I left high reserves for the items I was most interested, but was very pleased when I was able to register for live bidding through your site. This was only confirmed, however, several hours before the auction and it was unclear whether Ladenberger was able to reconcile my details. During the bidding process, it became clear to me that I was possibly bidding against myself on certain items-which I in fact did. I don't know how I can recoup the money on this, but I would recommend to you that you have processes in place to keep this from happening! Nevertheless, I was very pleased to have won several long awaited items for my collection. I received an invoice through your site for both auctions and a separate invoice from Ladenberger for the items I won through my written reserve. I paid all invoices promptly through wire transfer. Ladenberger called me the day after to say that they had received my payment and were preparing to ship the items. However, they would be reimbursing me for one lot because it went missing and was possibly stolen. This was the first of a series of problems with them. One week later, I received two packages from them sent through the German post. A signature was required, but there was no tracking, which I found surprising given the value of the items total

Shipping costs to expensive

I've emailed many times after the auction and my successful bid. No response from anyone including seller V dissatisfied

I'm satisfied for the most part. There was loss of the baggage only once. Perhaps mistake of packing traders. The auction house did aftercare and refund. I'm thankful for that.

Shipping costs are overdone, I received a mail stating that I did not win the auction after invoice reception! and payment! Communicationcould be improved (No answers at all my emails)

Articles destroyed, bad condition

I have not received the items which I paid for on October 14. It was shipped on October 21 with DHL shipping. I checked today and it is still in Germany Post Office waiting to be shipped to USA. They said I should checked next Wednesday for a tracking number. Sent a survey in two weeks.
