Very nice pieces. These ocarinas, apart from one or two, are very beautiful. Even small objects are very cute. It was worth paying a high transport cost for France.

Excited to have won this lot. Beautiful piece. Because of truly absurd back and forth and horrendous lack of communication on Hindman's part, it wasn't until January 2022 that the lot was ready to be shipped. Also, not so crazy about the packing and shipping-sent wrapped in heavy duty plastic like a heavy floor rug. I'm breathing a sigh of relief that the packaging wasn't punctured or perforated which would have caused damage to the fiber. Excellent sturdy and likely waterproof wrapping but inserted into a good, cardboard box would have been ideal. Nevertheless, it got here safe and sound. Thank you, Hindman's. I still depend on Hindman's great inventory and the quality of offerings from this auction house!

After payment of my bill, I received another bill for shipping of $150, I thought there must be a mistake. I have purchased a lot of guns on LIVE and shipping usually runs $30 to $40 a gun. I realized I purchased two guns in the same lot thinking they would use a single box and the shipping would be more but $150.? WOW Thats $100 more than I would have figured and was a bit unfair. I did email them several times with no response.

We have participated in numerous auctions presented by Hindman Auctions over the decades. Living in IL, they offer first rate auctions — especially in the Fine arts. The relief sculpture by Leonardo Drew was a rare find as his work does not come up for auction often. This is one of the most important contemporary artists/sculptors of the 21st century. When you participate in their auctions, they treat you as if you were a prominent collector — with respect and an invested interest in curating our collection. We review all the lots that are posted and know the images that represent each work are remarkable. Their staff research each lot and the descriptions are accurate and they try to include provenance that supports its value. We have established a wonderful relationship with UPS Store # 3878 which provides pick up and shipping services for us. It’s a remarkable system they have in place to assure their clients professional and safe delivery of their artwork. We always look forward to the next auction.

Have been a Hindman client in the past. Requested a condition report for a very fragile item. There was an issue with the piece when received. However, after reviewing their photos and mine taken as the box was opened, management was proactive and we reached a mutually agreeable solution. Hindman has been in business for a long time and their excellent customer service is why. Also, recommend their in-house Chicago shipping when available. With any auction firm, it is always important to request a condition report, unless a very detailed report is included in the listing. Definitely recommend Hindman for their professionalism and customer service.

Over a thousand dollars to crate up and ship the items all together. They could have been boxed and shipped individually for a quarter of that price.

Once again, we participated in a Modern/Contemporary Art Auction put forth by Hindman. Our experiences are always the same — well organized, lots are well presented and researched, photos are worthy of the quality of art work. We have a support system for shipping and packing with the UPS Store # 3878 that’s also remarkable. Personally, we are building a collection for the Peoria Riverfront Museum and the offerings from Hindman are parallel with the Museum’s mission and our curatorial standards. We proudly support an Illinois auction house, an Illinois Museum and a local IL business. (UPS Store # 3878). If we were limited to only one auction house to build our collection, we would choose Hindman over the New York mega auctions every time. It’s gives us confidence that we are able to find unique objects that help educate the public to appreciate Contemporary/Modern art. We look forward to the future.
