Thomaston in-house shipping is the highest shipping and longest wait I have ever had in my experiences with online auction houses. Took over a month to get my item and then the shipping charge was very high for a very small object. I have paid less for 3rd party shipping where they charged me high handling plus driving to and from the auction house. It’s not worth it, I won’t bid or follow your auctions again.

Always responded to calls and very helpful with shipping.

I'm always delighted when an antique in one of the categories I collect is coming up for auction at Thomaston Place. First of all, I know that item will be of the quality I expect vetted by their thoroughly accurate descriptions and numerous clear, well photographed catalog images. Any questions are answered promptly and completely. The actual auctions run quickly, efficiently, and fairly. Invoicing is prompt and payment procedures are quick and easy. I am particularly impressed with their fine reasonably priced in house packing and shipping department. Have purchased several fragile items all of which arrived in absolutely perfect condition. I forgot to mention that the quality and variety of art and antiques offered at Thomaston Place is second to none. Thomaston Place Auction is at the top of the list of my favorite auction houses!

Waiting for Two month and paid $450 for A special crate and shipping, when I received the box my Camel broken in Five pieces and they just thru to the pop corn without any packing material at all!! This is really cheating expensive and irresponsible shipping company!! Also I do toke the pictures.

I received the items very fast. The fragile items were well packed. Would but from again, A + + +! Very happy with the service and description of purchased items.

Shipping was crazy high, Charged $73.00 for a small box, I checked my cost to send it to them and it was under $20.00. would only buy again if i was close and could pick up myself.

I look for opportunities to engage with this gallery. Each and every staff member is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to assist.

Unfortunately they shipped my item to an old address even though I had given them the correct shipping address. But they handled the problem professionally and all ended well.

They did a fine job in getting it all taken care of. Shipping time was a bit on the long side, but they were friendly and helpful and delivered everything as promised.

This was my very first brush with Thomaston Place Auction Gallery, but it was positive in every respect-from the registration/approval stage right through to the auction itself and beyond (I thought that the cost of shipping might have been a little high, but the packaging of a heavy bronze statue was expertly and perfectly executed, so it might have been worth it all). Thomaston was very responsive, polite and professional during all conversations. They kept me informed as to the status of my auction item at reasonable intervals and the package arrived exactly when they said it would. I would certainly participate in Thomaston's auctions again.

Unfortunately my purchased item was not authentic, but as I told and proved it credibly, Thomaston was immediately ready to cancel the purchase. Getting back the money after reshipment of the item was no problem. That shows me, that Thomaston is a very serious and trustful auction house. Therefore I will be happy to buy there again.

Called several times to pay my bill. I was told they weren't ready because they had to figure out shipping. Finally a week later they send me a bill which didnt include shipping. I called to pay and offered them my FedEx account number to ship the items. They called me back and charged me $61 for a box and a piece of bubble wrap and tape. That didn't include the shipping. $61 for a box which would cost a maximum of $3. And all this while FedEx would have delivered them free box to ship but their excuse was there was no FedEx close to them, but still managed to ship box via FedEx after all. I will never buy anything from them again. This is robbery if one considers they charge 20 % above price for their fees.

The quality of items was exactly how it was written in the descriptions. I am very satisfied with the quality of the service as well. I called in and asked the items to be delivered to a different address and to a particular day since I purchased these items as presents. Everything was delivered in time! Thank you!

Max delivered my item in perfect condition... very friendly and courteous. After having the item in my possession for several days already, I had a called Thomaston's with a concern, which they immediately addressed to my satisfaction. Jen was great! Hope to have the opportunity to do business with them again. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant to deal with with this auction place. Fees are more than reasonable. It is a pity, there are no very many auction companies with these level of services on the market

I'm very disappointed with this transaction. Purchased an item at their 10/3/19 auction. Received invoice via e-mail 10/8/19. Phoned them, received shipping cost information, and gave them my credit card info. Never received a new invoice (to include shipping), never received any shipping tracking info, never got any contact by mail or phone. I kept waiting to receive delivery. The next I heard, on 10/31/19, they had the gall to file a complaint with Live Auctioneers about me! After three phone calls from me on 11/1, 11/2 and 11/3/19, I finally connected with the right person at Thomaston Place { I think it was the same person I'd talked to when I first paid). She said they had no record of my call or payment. Gave her my data again, and asked that they contact Live Auctioneers to remove their complaint. (They did do that, which I do appreciate.) When I still had not received the items by 11/19/19, nor received any invoice or shipping data, I called them again. They said they had been involved in other auctions in them interim, and had shipped the lot on 11/8/19 by FedEx, She said my package was due to be delivered that very day. That turned out to be correct. So I finally got my goods, 47 days after the original auction.

I LOVE how Thomaston Place Auction Galleries has the bidding, shipping & payment all rolled into one! Less headache for me when not having to find a decent shipper. And, Thomaston Place shipped my huge lidded tureen & ladle with the most IMPRESSIVE packing. They are one of the BEST PACKERS I've seen yet AND at a very reasonable price. I'm looking forward to buying more auction lots from Thomaston Place. A highly recommended auction gallery!
