Tavola originale realizzata da Crepax per la pag. 73 del "Conte Dracula", trasposizione del classico di Bram Stoker pubblicato per la prima volta in volume dalla Milano Libri nel 1987. La pagina da noi presentata è stata pubblicata in quarta di copertina nel volume "Dracula: La seduzione del vampiro" all‘interno della collana Erotica n. 9 dalla Mondadori nel 2015. Distaccandosi da tutto l ’immaginario visivo filmico, Crepax torna alle origini, studiando, smontando e ricostruendo il testo dello scrittore irlandese. Il risultato è un affascinante romanzo grafico epistolare dallo stile di disegno quasi ottocentesco con un tratteggio ispirato al francese Gustave Doré. Crepax fa emergere il lato erotico sotteso nell ’opera di fine ’800, riprendendo quel fil rouge che lo ha accompagnato in tutta la sua carriera. Firmata e datata.

The page we presented was published on the back cover of the volume "Dracula: The seduction of the vampire" at interior of the Erotica series n. 9 from Mondadori in 2015. Breaking away from all filmic visual imagery, Crepax returns to its origins, studying, dismantling and reconstructing the Irish writer ’s text. The result is a fascinating epistolary graphic novel with an almost nineteenth-century drawing style with hatching inspired by the Frenchman Gustave Doré. Crepax brings out the erotic side underlying the work of the late 19th century, taking up the common thread that accompanied him throughout his career. Signed and dated.
