Kurt Vonnegut
n.p., October 9, 2005
Kurt Vonnegut Hand-Drawn and Signed Self Portrait
Signed art
A fine self-portrait by Vonnegut, accomplished in bold pencil on a limited-edition silkscreen print, limitation 25/100, (n.p.), October 9, 2005, cleverly matted to make this handsome display measuring 5.75" x 3.75" (sight), double-matted in red and white to dimensions of 10" x 8" overall. In fine condition, well-suited to framing.
Over the course of his 50-year-long writing career, Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) explored the limits of autobiography, fantasy, and mixed literary genres. His short stories, novels, plays, and works of non-fiction were unexpectedly original, strange, and often darkly humorous. Vonnegut's novel "Slaughterhouse-Five," which is a science fictional twist on the author's real-life experiences as a prisoner of war in World War II Dresden, was nominated for the Hugo Award, but has also been banned by some school systems.
This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
