Beau marquages Abschusztafel Gem Flak Abt 496. Tableau representant les dates, heures, type d avions, lieu et batterie. En novembre 1942 s’installe a Paris la Gemischte Flak-Abteilung 496 (Unite de DCA mixte 496). Cette unite de la Luftwaffe arrive directement des iles anglo-normandes et plus particulierement d’Alderney qui est l’ile la plus proche a la fois de la France et de la Grande-Bretagne. Deux unites differentes sont detachees aupres de la 496. Un groupe d’artillerie lourde Schwere Flak-Abteilung 538 et un groupe d’artillerie legere Leichte Flak-Abteilung 997. Le tableau represente les avions abattus par l’unite. Il indique la date et l’heure de la victoire ainsi que le type d’appareil et le lieu ou l’avion s’est ecrase. Enfin dans la derniere colonne est indique la batterie qui abattu l’avion. On constate qu’a une exception pres les avions sont tombes en region parisienne ou assez loin en province. En août 1944, l’unite se replie sur Amiens puis vers l’Allemagne pour etre dissoute en septembre. Le panneau en bois mesure 120 x 78 cm, il indique qu’entre le 4 septembre 1941 et le 14 mars 1944 l’unite a abattu 23 avions britanniques et americains. In November 1942, the Gemischte Flak-Abteilung 496 (Mixed Flak Unit 496) was set up in Paris. This Luftwaffe unit arrived directly from the Channel Islands, in particular Alderney, the closest island to both France and Great Britain. Two different units were seconded to 496. A Schwere Flak-Abteilung 538 heavy artillery group and a Leichte Flak-Abteilung 997 light artillery group. The table shows the aircraft shot down by the unit. It indicates the date and time of the victory, as well as the type of aircraft and the location where it crashed. Finally, the last column indicates the battery that shot down the aircraft. It can be seen that, with one exception, the planes crashed in the Paris region or quite far away in the provinces. In August 1944, the unit withdrew to Amiens, then to Germany, to be disbanded in September. The wooden panel measures 120 x 78 cm, and shows that between September 4, 1941 and March 14, 1944, the unit shot down 23 British and American aircraft.
