Lot 44002
Annie Oakley: A Detailed and Characteristic Cabinet Photo by A. J. Wood. Annie is pictured in 1887 just before the Wild West trooped off to England and Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. She shows off some of the guns she will pack along: one of her Stevens .22s, a Spencer slide-action shotgun, and what appears to be her L. C. Smith double shotgun. Also proudly displayed is her gold-plated pearl-gripped presentation Stevens-Gould pistol. Along the top of the card is some tape residue. This is otherwise in excellent condition. This lot is from the collection of Bess Edwards, grand-niece of Annie Oakley, and will be accompanied by a signed letter from her authenticating this item as described.
