REVOLVER. Cal. 348185. Bbl. 7 1/2". First Generation Single Action Army revolver mfg. by Colt in 1925. Left side of the bbl. is marked "45 COLT", with Colt's single line address marked across the top. Left side of the frame is marked with Colt's 2-line patent information, followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Frame and loading gate exhibit a case colored finish, with remaining metal components exhibiting a blue finish overall. Sides of hammer are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame and cyl., as well as the trigger guard and rear grip strap (on right side, beneath grip panel). CONDITION: frame and loading gate retain large amounts of their original factory case colored finish, showing areas of fading to the case colors and some areas of wear that are showing through to gray patina. Blued parts retain the majority of their original finish, showing light to mild edge wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Grip straps show areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina. Underside of bbl. exhibits areas of unusual spotting. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, with tight lock up.
