WILLIAM BUCHELE. William Buchelle (1895-1977) author of 2 texts on recreating the American long rifle was a master craftsman. He guns and hawks are among the finest recreations made in the 1950s-1970s. This hawk has 6.5" cast iron head with engraved brass pipe bowl on either side "made by W. Buchele" 7 "for C. F. Beck", 18" curly maple stem has silver insets of American eagle & fish. CONDITION: fine overall. (02-25233/JS). NON-GUN. $1,500-2,500.
