.45-70 caliber. 22" barrel with single barrel band without stacking swivel. SN: 145907. Blued and color casehardened finish, smooth walnut stock. Single shot breechloading cavalry carbine with "C" marked 1879 pattern rear sight, Barleycorn front sight with pinned blade, 3-click tumbler, low arch breech, smooth trigger, saddle bar and ring and trapdoor in butt for tools and cleaning rods, with two part of the three-piece cleaning rod present. Standard production lock, barrel and breech block markings. No visible cartouche or "Circle-P" firing proof in wood. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Good. Bore moderately oxidized with decent rifling. Metal with a mostly smooth plum patina with some scattered surface roughness. Markings in metal remain clear, none in wood. Mechanically functional action. Wood with moderate wear and sanded, showing scattered bumps, dings and mars.
