Description

(1904 – 1945) General in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the 320. Volksgrenadier-Division and was a recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. A hero of the campaign in the Caucasus, Kirschner was killed on 11 February 1945 in Saybusch, Poland. Rare war-date S.P., 2.5 x 3.5 b/w, a fine portrait in uniform signed and dated July 14, 1943 at bottom. Fine.
