MUTSCHMANN (1879 – 1947) Gauleiter of the state of Saxony, blamed for lack of preparedness for the firebombing of Dresden. Sentenced to death in Moscow and shot on February 14, 1947. Fine association T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Dresden, Dec. 30, 1936, on his blind-embossed Reichstatthalter letterhead to Hitler’s chief bodyguard, Wilhelm Bruckner, thanking him for his New Year’s greetings.
