(1767 - 1845) Seventh President of the United States, 'Old Hickory' became a national hero for his defense of New Orleans and as president encouraged Western expansion and paid off the national debt. Partly-printed D.S. 'Andrew Jackson' as President, 1p. folio parchment, Washington, Apr. 2, 1829, a grant of 29 acres of land in the area of Steubenville, Ohio made unto Job Evans, Jr., signed by Jackson at bottom right. Moderate soiling and toning at margins, the manuscript text a bit light in places, else good to very good. Nicely matted and set into a black wood frame.
