"THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE SURVIVING EARLY MAP-VIEWS OF LONDON" (Howgego).
The map of London was updated in 1574 with 'Westmester' changed to 'Westmuster' and with the addition of the newly built Royal Exchange. The map was drawn at least 15 years prior to publication, since it shows the spire of St Paul's, which was destroyed by lightning in 1561 and not reconstructed.
