LONDON – A Royal Bank of Scotland note dating from 1777, which is thought to be first tri-colored note issued in Scotland and possibly in Europe, will be offered by Mayfair-based Auctioneers Noonans in a sale of Banknotes scheduled for Wednesday, August 24 and Thursday, August 25. ST. MICHAELS, Md. – The sun was out and spirits were high during Guyette & Deeter’s July 29-30 decoy and sporting art auction at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The sale had 120 collectors in attendance and more than 1,000 others participating online and by phone. Gross sales totaled $3.32 million, with 72 lots selling for more than $10,000, including one that exceeded $200,000.
