CHICAGO – A suite of Greta Grossman furniture will highlight Hindman’s Modern Design auction on Wednesday, May 24. Comprising more than 230 lots, significant works by other trailblazing women designers such as Ruth Duckworth and Toots Zynsky will also be presented. The sale will also include pieces by celebrated names such as Dale Chihuly, Hans J. Wegner, Erik Kolling Andersen and Karl Springer. PHILADELPHIA – Kamelot Auctions will hold a week full of February Modern Sales, kicking off on Wednesday February 22 and Thursday, February 23 with back-to-back sales titled Design | French | Italian | American. They will be followed by a Continental, Modern and Architectural sale that begins at 7 pm Eastern time on February 23 and also a Reflect and Rediscover sale on Saturday, February 25, which begins at 1 pm Eastern time. CHICAGO – On November 16, Hindman Auctions will present its biannual Modern Design sale, which will offer outstanding studio craft furniture and other 20th and 21st century design. The auction will spotlight top American designers such as Wendell Castle, Dale Chihuly, Frank Gehry, Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, Sam Maloof, Peter Voulkos and Vladimir Kagan. Rago/Wright announces merger with LA Modern Auctions
On August 6, 2021, Rago/Wright announced its merger with LA Modern Auctions, a 29-year-old West coast auction house with a strong focus on modern art and design.
LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. – Rago/Wright expands to the West Coast to merge with LA Modern Auctions (LAMA), bringing together the three strongest, independently owned design brands in the auction industry. All three houses will continue to work under their individual names while sharing technology, expertise and marketing efforts. The newly-merged entity will host its first auction with LAMA in October.
