Very happy with my purchase and the ease of dealing with this auction house. It was professional, efficient and came with the best packing job I have ever seen. Admittedly it took a while to arrive, but I was in no hurry and it was worth the wait. They had a 3 day auction, so I can't imagine the massive amount of packing they had to do. Don't hesitate. They are honest and knowledgeable. I am so glad I am able to bid even though I no longer live in Virginia.

I bought a pair of Chinese small monochrome glaze porcelain vase from this company last year. the condition report states no any damage, but I found a big scratch about 4cm when receiving. I contacted the company, the answer is no refund and no return since they don’t think it’s a damage.

15 out of 36 items have chips, cracks, and other obvious damages. Almost every cloisonne bracelet has chips and cracks. There are 6 panels on the cinnabar bracelet, however, every panel has big chips and through-wall cracks. The rope of the necklace is broken. No pin on the brooch. Too many to list here. The seller did not indicate any of these in the pictures, defects were hidden deliberately. I don't think they are in good to excellent overall condition as described by the seller. The seller made a long generalized list (some wear and other imperfections including scratches, bending, denting, losses, breaks, flakes, worn spots, etc.) that basically means the items can have all types of damages while none of the pictures show any of them. This is misleading and the seller takes no responsibility! I spent $459.95 on a bag of damaged junk! I contacted the seller nicely with 31 pictures to request a return but I was refused. Besides, shipping was $55.32 for a 6lb UPS ground service. Ok, it is fair to charge a handling fee, however, they don't know how to pack a package at all! All the items were put together in a box carelessly. No individual packing and items collided against each other. The worst buying experience I ever had!

The February 26 Jeffrey S, Evans auction featured some rare and unusual items including the trade catalogs lot that I bid on and eventual won. Pity that individual trade catalogs were not offered (as only one catalog was of was of personal interest) but an assortment of unrelated catalogs made up the auction lot. Since I worked part time for an auction business for eight years I realize that combining items for a more expedient sale keeps an auction from being interminably long. Still, now comes the matter of reselling the other unrelated catalogs which I will try to do through alternate channels. The auction occurred on February 26 and as of March 19th the items have still not been received although I have received notice that they have been shipped. Thus, my overall satisfaction level is "very satisfied" except for the long wait for the items bid on and shipped. Should this auction house feature rare fretwork, or Victorian era arts/furniture/hardware or architectural trade catalogs, undoubtedly, I will bid on those items again.

Excellent service quick shipment

In house shipping was seamless. The packaging of delicate porcelain was fabulous. Shipping charges were reasonable for the degree of detail provided. Great auction from the descriptions, to the response to questions, to the post-auction communication, and to the inhouse shipping.

I got into on-line estate sales during this pandemic. It was a great way to find unique vintage items for my 1925 Spanish Bungalow home that I was now spending 24 Hours in. I stumbled on this two day sale from Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates which was selling this fabulous antique shakers that were just so gorgeous. I am using them for various spices and make up brush jars in my home. I looked up their estate history and the couple who collected them has an interesting history. So I will protect them like Charles and Jane Knox did for all their years. Thanks.
