Our billing and shipping procedures are laid out in our terms and conditions. We email the invoice on Monday following the auction-perhaps the invoice went to your spam? At the time we take credit card payment, with permission from the customer, we will charge the same credit card for shipping once the item is packed and ready to be shipped. We cannot inadvertently charge the credit card as that constitutes fraudulent practices. As well, we need to know the customers intentions with shipping. We regret you found this to be an arduous process.

What a breath of fresh air-thank you so very much for acknowledging the efforts of the shipping and catalogue departments. We appreciate your business and look forward to having you with us again.

We regret you were dissatisfied with your auction experience with us. The JSE & A LIVE bidding site has a lesser buyer's premium of 19 % for case or check or 21.5 % with credit card. Comparatively, our buyer's premium is lower than most. Please email janice@jeffreysevans.com regarding the "unresponsive" statement. According to our notes it appears there was no further action on our part that should have been taken. Since we handle fine and rare antiques our pack team are instructed to treat these items with care. We do offer another option-that is to use the local UPS store with whom we work closely.

We send an online link to pay with the invoice. I have checked the notes associated with your file and the online payment link was emailed to you along with the invoice. As a matter of fact many of our customers choose to pay via the online payment link. You are correct, we have a ten-day check hold policy for new bidders. Once the transaction favorably concludes, that is the only time we do a check hold. It is imperative we protect the interests of our consignors by ensuring a favorable payment. When registering to bid, you agree to the terms and conditions-the check hold is noted there.

Our notes also indicate the extra time and attention the Shipping Coordinator and Shipping Manager took to accommodate your particular requests. We, too, are displeased with shipping charges as they have increased exponentially in recent past years. This is not a fee we have the authority to dictate. Keep in mind we deal in fine and rare antiques-these pieces need to be packed in a manner to ensure their safe delivery. While you may consider this excessive, we can assure you that most of our customers are very pleased to have their items protected. While our packing procedures are undeniably more stringent than major shipping companies, this service is strictly a courtesy to our buyers. Should our buyers wish to do so, we often suggest using the local UPS store to handle shipment. Additionally, we offer shipping estimates should our customers wish to have an idea of costs. The volume of shipping we are managing on an auction to auction basis is phenomenal yet each transaction is give the care and attention it deserves. We have no need or desire to inflate prices. In conclusion, we feel every accommodation was made to ensure your satisfaction. We are known for our customer satisfaction and feel every effort was made to make your experience a favorable one.
