I really like this auction house and the folks who run it. Interesting merchandise. Friendly people. Wish the buyer's commission was a couple of percentage points lower. Overall, excellent experience, though.

Respectfully letting you know... Shipping from this and most of the auction houses anymore is one of the reason I am buying far less at auction on liveauctioneers. It is no longer a good deal to buy at auction when I can travel pay a room fee and get more by going in person when where possible.

The many forms to fill out was quite annoying. There was literally no clear information as to who I was to pay-very confusing. The payment transaction was yet another form with instructions to fax or hand in person! No information as to how to pay that related to the 21st C... Then the auction house further confused all by marking me order paid, then writing to say they made a mistake. Then they did not send me my bill! All seemed very archaic and disordered-sorry for the negative critique but feel it is needed for this company to thrive. I will most likely never return as a customer.

Very unorganized billing there were items on my invoice that were not mine and getting an invoice once I paid was not automatic.

For some reason, it wasn't Westport auction handling the completion process for this sale. I paid and picked up through absolute auction and realty. There crew was great at the site. Pickup was extremely difficult due to the location of the site being in NYC.

I never received my chair, the shipper never received call back from Westport. The email was returned as incorrect. I had been given that email by the auction house partnering with them with the Manhattan Prop Auction. I would like my money refunded. To say I am dissatisfied is an understatement. we sport Auction, unfortunately did not manage all the service components to this auction. They outsourced it to another auction house which was not nearly as professional as I was told Wesport Auction was. Westport hen had this auction house process payment via email, requiring private information be emailed or faxed to them. I was disappointed in this process.

The worst auction company I have ever dealt with after going to auctions for 35 years. Disorganized and no accountability

They were hesitant to take my check even though advertised discount with check. Somehow seemed to me they did not care about client as long as payment was made.

The staff is lovely and helpful, but pick-up for online bidders is difficult in a timely fashion as Westport prefers because of the limited open hours of the auction house. Some weekend pick-up provision should be offered.

The painting did not have a size listed. It was much bigger than those typically done by the artist. While I honored my purchase agreement, I will probably resell and suffer a loss due to no wall space to hang it.

the pieces I purchased were in such bad physical condition that they should not have been offered for sale. I will avoid this auctioneer in the future.
