They make fake condition report and hide the damage.
I made purchase several times with them, each time I recieve some damaged Chinese porcelain, this is not good, but I don't blame them, so I ask for damage report after that, but they made three fake condition reports says they are in good condition but not true. For this I lost thousands pounds, and they said it's over one month, so there wouldn't be any compensation, I spent about $20, 000 dollars in the past year, and finnaly take my lesson and will never pay them a single cent! They also sell fake antiques.

VAT
It is my understanding that VAT is not chargeable on antiques purchased in the UK which are exported outside the EU. I pointed this out to Hannam's and their billing department refused to remove the VAT. As a consequence, I was charged about GBP 10 more than I should have been.

Under UK law all bidders are subject to VAT (VAT NOTICE 703) VAT can be refunded to buyers from outside the EU once proof of export has been provided by the shipper. VAT can only be removed at the point of invoice if the company are shipping the items themselves.

Fails to disclose restorations
Beware! When I received my antique vases, one was labeled "restored." Auction house posted photos in which that label was hidden, and it did not disclose in the listing that one vase was restored.

FALSE SALE
I participated in the live auction. I clearly won the item I was most interested in. During the auction, the item showed as my being the winner. Then, following the auction, the item was not listed on my purchases. It was removed. I wrote Hannam ´ s four different times inquiring about my item. THEY NEVER RESPONDED! And, in the end, I paid the invoice without the item that I most wanted. There is something amiss here and this auction house is not to be trusted. Shameful.

Great service and speedy postage

Be cautious
I was very excited about winning my bid, but when I got the invoice, there was an unexplained "small print" charge of 35 %. I contacted Hannam's Auctioneers about the charge and they stated that I 'should have known' about some mandatory UK charge. I explained that I would work with them, but was not paying a 35 % surcharge on an auction that basically put me at over market value for the items. THey won't work with me, so I won't work with them any longer.

There is no condition report on any of the items that I have witnessed, as a consequence the item that I purchased was found to have severe discrepancies, and had I known this I probably would not have bid on and purchased this item.

Item was smaller than expected per pictures. Not really the auction house, but the shipping experience was poor. Our infamous USPS and Royal Post collaborated to give both shipper and purchaser bad experiences. Auction house was powerless to do anything about poor shipping by the two postal services.

This auction house badly overcharged me for shipping. Actual shipping through Royal Mail for this item (I looked it up) was almost exactly 1/3 of the 35 pounds amount I was charged. (For all I know there is a commercial discount so the overcharge was more than that.) It was posted in a box small enough so the package weighed 4 ounces. It was well packed in used bubble wrap. I am OK w/that, I do it myself, but I don't want to hear about the cost of packing materials. Or the time required to pay someone to pack it, which last time I looked was a cost of doing business anyway. That's right, I was charged TRIPLE actual shipping. This in spite of, after being invoiced, me courteously asking for a lower shipping amount. And this in spite of the 35.3 % buyers 'premium, itself an exorbitant amount. Note: there was no mention of all-important condition in the initial listing, itself an all too frequent occurrence w/liveauctioneers listings, an indefensible practice. An inquiry about condition to Hannam's yielded a vague but accurate reply. I will not be a customer of this company again. It takes advantage of the long distances involved and anonymity that prevails in e-commerce to fleece its customers.

As I have not yet received my items, I can not comment on the accuracy of the photos and descriptions, however, in my dealings with Hannam's, a first for me, I have been very pleased with the level of service and professionalism.
