They refunded the VAT to me after the bid items were received by me. They are very fast in responding email inquiry or request. I am very pleased.

I like the auctionhouse doing the packing and shipping. I used a packing and shipping firm they adviced, but it takes more steps in the process

The only thing I do not like about buying Antiques via auction houses is their charges which at 28 % add considerably to the cost of an item plus the charge for packing and posting bringing it to approximately 33 % of the purchase price. This does not compare well against EBay where I do most of my purchasing.

I have not received item yet. Was told I owe for item but have my paid receipt. Have not had any return contact from auction house once I notified of my payment along with paid invoice information. Still waiting to receive item or email info.

too much unexpected extra charges: 650 £ + BP 162, 5 = 862, 5 £ paid 920, 82 £! webcast fee: 32, 5 £??? 3 % for paying by VISA?? rest = unexplained charges. Never had such problem even with english auction house. Never deal again with them

I want to appeal to me with Hannam's Auctioneers's deal. They in terms of overlord unilateral reasons, first, because of selling fake cheated my money, when I returned to my articles, let them be re sold, they don't give me a refund, and I kept waiting, I hope that multiple transactions can offset the amount of return in, they also to me repeatedly open controversy, finally, even with no timely transport as an excuse, they take all of my money. I finally resulted in full payment of the case, did not get my goods. And these results are mainly due to their error description and timely service but they are strong, unilaterally put all the mistakes into my head. It is inhumane, they are bullied! Below is the letter I wrote to them, which includes the specific process of things. Please look carefully: Hello! The result of this treatment is unfair to me. Because of the language barrier, I can't communicate with you in time and cause my purchasing experience to be so complicated now? All I have to say is that the cause of the incident is your fault, but you have severely punished me for being alone. I think I should have the opportunity and right to appeal, please listen to what I have explained before and after. Feb 18 2016, I won LOT473, you wrongly described it is early twentieth Century antique, but the fact is that it is the latest imitation fake. So I asked to return the goods and a full refund? the harmer price is 650, I paid a total plus commission to 829.4. but you said you can only back part of my 600. I was forced to accept but, when I return the goods to you when you have not promised, but I can only tell re sold. I was forced to accept. So you re sell it after the auction, but the harmmer price is very low. Cause I finally lost half of the amount of LOT473. In order to refund the convenience, I choose to purchase goods again in your auction room, as is my refund offset the new payment, when I win the items, and after receipt of the invoice I started wa

yes the first time i got somthing by theme there was reperation chip i think its a good idear to tell ore to show it on the picture so you dont get any suprice...... i did not complain over it becouse i got it wery cheap.... so it did not matter for me.

Auction House Hannam's is easy going, that's why we like to bid by them. They use to answer promptly to our questions. Unfortunately other Auction Houses feeling so important and making their approval so complicated by requesting personal documents via emails our due the system of LievAuctioneers, which is not even allowed. This is what Hannam's doesn't do & we support them with much of joy. If You would have any influence to let this know by other Auction Houses; they even loose good buyers, because no one have that much time to take the effort only for being approved on an auction. The item had substantial obvious damage that was neither disclosed in the text or by a photograph. Hannam's is not a reputable auctioneer.

Questions posted before the auction were replied to rather sarcastically in a single sentence. There was a delay of more than 2 weeks confirming I won the item, despite me asking earlier if I had won. This made it a bit difficult to arrange shipping but it eventually worked out. After receiving the item I emailed them again that the auction description (Iznik tile early 20th century) was different from the item (Kuthaya tile c1976). There has been no reply from the auction house since.

First, I want to say that I really like Live Auctioneers and have found your auction members to be very upfront and reliable. I look forward to continuing on your site. However, Hannam's was in complete opposite to the integrity of other auctioneers. Here are the issues: The piece has significant damage that was not disclosed in the photograph or the description. The damage was so significant that only one angle of photograph could hide it; this was the photograph on the sale page. Clearly Hannam's knew what they were doing. (This was old damage and not related to shipping.) Before bidding, I contacted Hannam's about VAT (the piece would be shipped from the UK to me in the US). Hannam's said they would not charge VAT if they shipped in house. Their in house shipping was very expensive: GBP 130, but I went with it anyway. I twice told them the correct address for shipping. Hamman's shipped the damaged piece to the wrong address. They charged VAT on their premium and on the shipping. I contacted Hannam's to tell them the piece did not correspond to the image on the auction page by not disclosing the damage, and that they had incorrectly charged VAT and shipped the piece to the wrong address. I asked for a refund. Hannam's refused. I then asked for a refund of my VAT, and they only refunded the VAT on their premium. I asked again for a refund on the VAT on the shipping as it was shipped in house (again, I was told they would zero out the VAT for in house shipping-if I chose an outside shipper I would have to go through a refund request with the third party shipper). Hannam's refused, and told me to contact UPS or my credit card. I never paid UPS-I had only paid Hannam's as my agent for shipping. They apparently didn't ship in house but sent the piece to UPS and washed their hands of their accountability. In all, I felt they knowingly acted in bad faith, and misrepresented the piece.
