I love vintage jewelry, they almost never sell jewelry but I follow them because I like their auctions. In this auction they put several old jewelry and I was surprised with very beautiful and high quality pieces. I hope they continue to put jewelry. Professional package and shipping

Very professional Auction House

This auction house is a scam. Paid for item immediately and for shipping. They would email me back at first, saying they were shipping the next day. Literally months went by and they went silent.

Recent purchase went well from start to finish. I got a shipping quote from local UPS and it was much higher than the in house shipper. Went with in-house and no issues shipping was great. Item packed very well. I don't knock the UPS Store-the item was large in dimensions and I understand with the in house shipper making regular volume pickups they can probably afford to do it cheaper.

I spent two thousand dollars on a lot with Coral Gables Auction on 2/5, paid them for it including shipping, and have not received the items. Coral Gables does not respond to calls or emails. Check out their reviews and you will see many others have had the same experience. I escalated to Live Auctioneer on 2/28 asking for their assistance. I received an auto reply with a case number. And that was the last I heard from Live Auctioneers despite sending two emails asking for an update. And I tried calling Live Auctioneers. But there is no way to actually speak to anyone there. Very frustrating. I guess my next recourse is through my credit card company. It’s a shame that one auction house can soil the reputation of such a popular service provider. ALSO NOTE THAT MANY OF THEOR REVIEWS ON THIS SITE ARE WRITTEN BY THE SAME PEOPLE. HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS!

Another excellent purchase, very pleased with the service I received. The shipment was perfect, a truly professional packaging and very good customer service.

First, be prepared to wait an extraordinary time for your won lots. This happened once before (early 2022) and this time I won 3 lots in the first week of December and over 7 weeks later, January 26 2023, and I'm still waiting for shipment notification. They gave various excuses to my 5 emails like oh it's because of the holidays, "next week", etc., but it's still not shipped 7 weeks later. They are extremely frustrating to deal with and, by comparison, I've won lots with 5 other auction houses since then and received all items promptly, some wihtin days (including over the holiday period). This is a very frustrating auction house to deal with so be warned!

Paid for item immediately; paid for shipping. Never got any follow-up responses to emails of voicemails over the next three weeks. Finally received a response telling me to “be patient”. A week went by-no responses to further emails/voicemails, no tracking. Advise auction house I was notifying credit card company to dispute charge (three times)-no response. Just an overwhelmingly negative experience.

Just a heads up if you buy from this auction house and elect to have them ship your item, check your junk or spam folder for the invoice. The shipping email was a little sketchy but I messaged the auction house on here and the quickly confirmed. Overall smooth transaction!

Shipping was overpriced and took over 2 months I'm perplexed as to why a handful of people (like myself) report 2 + month shipping times, while others seem to get shipped right away. It doesn't make sense to me, but it is what it is. I'm not new to this; I've won over a dozen paintings at auctions that needed to be shipped. I know shipping paintings is expensive, between the supplies needed to safely pack, the costs for shipping large packages, insurance, labor, etc. They charged $234.39 to ship a 15.5 "by 28.5" (frame size) painting. The last painting I won before this was larger in * both * dimensions, yet was about half the cost. Coral Gables Auction now only offers shipping "in-house" through their CGA (Coral Gables Auction) Shipping. You also have to pay by check (which explains about 2 weeks of the 9 week delay). Oddly, though, this was packed and shipped through a local Pak Mail. I'm not sure if they just bit off more than they could chew with shipping and needed help, or if they set it up this way as a quick and easy way for extra profit. The UPS rate for shipping the box was around $50 including insurance; with supplies and labor, that's well over $150 in profit. The other issue is the time it took. From the day I won the auction until receiving the painting was over 2 months (65 days). If they charged actual cost, or even average or below average rates, I could overlook the slow service. But charging $100-$150 more than well known auction houses? You can't charge premium rates and offer sub-par service. With all that said, the whole LiveAuctioneers process was great, as usual. They even stepped in to assist at one point when I wasn't getting responses from Coral Gables. MY ADVICE: Do as I would now. Have reasonably expectations for how long it will take to ship, ask ahead of time or budget high for shipping, and make sure to pay with a credit card (which protects in case of serious problems).
